Question by thugshady06: Any tips on welding?
I am trying to weld a part of the axle on my truck but the damn rod keeps getting stuck as soon as I touch it on there. And when it seems like im welding a little bit its not doing shi-t, Just bouncing around and putting weld spots everywhere. Any tips I should know?

I have never seen one but if someone makes it they are gonna get rich off of it. I don’t think the drill doctor will do spot weld bits

Question by Timmy 2: Can you weld steel with Stainless steel welding wire?
I have a project that I am working on that requires welding. I do not have any steel welding wire and before I go buy some(which I will probably only use this one time) can I use the stainless wire that I have?

Most steels can be welded with stainless, however if your project is very big the difference in price between mild steel or low allow steel wire and the stainless may prompt you to buy a small roll of steel wire. If you want to use the stainless, try it out on a sample piece of the steel parent metal.

i took a certification test and passed only one of the three but i passed the procedure test. so did i get certified or not thanks

What state are you in? Normally you need to pass all three.
In otherwords you are saying you know how to weld, you just can’t weld.
