Question by : Is Hobart Institute of Welding a good school to go to?
I am currently a 17 year old High School Senior. I will be turning 18 in March and graduating in June 2012. I am looking to pursue a career in welding and am considering in going to this school. I am wondering if it is worth the money. I live in New Jersey which means I will have to go and live in Ohio while I attend this school. Therefore I am wondering if it is worth the money and if I would possibly be able to find a part time job working in Ohio while I attend school to pay for bills and rent. Also I was wondering if you get any certificates from completing the school and if they help you find a job when you graduate. And if they do what is the average percentage of getting a well-paying job from them. Thanks

It appears to be a legitimate school. However, I would suggest you look at community colleges and technical colleges near you. You can probably get an equivalent education for significantly less money. They do offer certificates. They maintain a job bank and a resume bank. I could not find any job placement statistics.
